Well Putt

When Chris DiMarco (inset) sank a 15-footer for birdie on the 18th hole to clinch the Presidents Cup for the U.S. by a score of 18 1/2-15 1/2 on Sunday, he set off a celebration by teammates (from left) Justin Leonard, Scott Verplank, Fred Couples, Jim Furyk and Davis Love III at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Va.

Indomitable

After being sidelined for a game by a referee who ruled that he could not play because he wasn't wearing shoes, Bobby Martin, a senior noseguard at Colonel White High in Dayton, warmed up for last Saturday's matchup with Belmont High. Martin, who was born without legs, was reinstated for the rest of the season by the Ohio High School Athletic Association (LIFE OF REILLY, page 90).
