THE QUESTIONS
WITH DONALD DRIVER
Packers Receiver
What was your welcome-to-the-NFL-moment?
During training camp [in 1999] I was in my hotel, and I got a call. It was [Packers director of pro personnel] Reggie McKenzie. He was talking to me, and I thought I was going to get cut. Then he said, "Can you give the phone to your roommate?" After that I knew I was in. My roommate was the last cut.
What was your most embarrassing moment?
When I tried to do the Lambeau Leap [into the crowd] after catching a touchdown in 2000 and I slipped into the wall. I got up and tried the Leap again. I got in the second time.
If I weren't playing football I'd be ...
an accountant. I love numbers, and I love money. I have a B.S. in accounting and a master's in computer science [both from Alcorn State].
If I were commissioner for a day, I'd ...
give NFL players the day off Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, have practice on Friday and all games on Sunday.
LAST WEEK
Driver had two catches for 49 yards in a 17-16 loss to Tampa Bay.
THIS WEEK
Packers play in Carolina. Driver has eight catches for 136 yards in his last two games against the Panthers.
