Notre Dame wideout Jeff Samardzija needed every inch of his 6'5" frame to make a catch that went for 41 yards and set up the Fighting Irish's first touchdown in their 49--28 victory at Purdue last Saturday. Samardzija finished with seven catches, and Notre Dame climbed to No. 12 in the AP poll.
