Skylar, a 6'2" senior outside hitter at Ridge Point High, had 14 kills, three digs and three blocks in a 3--0 defeat of Fort Bend Elkins. Through 22 games she has 270 kills and 52 digs. Last year Skylar led the Panthers to the District 20-6A title. She has committed to play at Texas.

MICHAELA BREEZE

Breeze, a senior forward at Division III Cazenovia (N.Y.) College, had her fourth consecutive hat trick in a 5--1 win over SUNY-ESF. The third goal was her 15th this season, breaking the school record. Through 13 games Breeze has 20 goals. Last year she scored 10 times and had five assists.

• Kimotong, South Sudan

Lomong, a senior at Northern Arizona, won the George Kyte Classic for the second straight year, finishing the 4½-mile run in 22:59.3. He emigrated in 2009 from a refugee camp in Kenya; his older brother Lopez is a two-time U.S. Olympian. Peter was an All-America last season.

JALEEL MCLAUGHLIN

McLaughlin, a freshman running back at Notre Dame College in South Euclid, Ohio, ran for a school-record 340 yards and three touchdowns in a 55--21 victory over West Liberty. Through six games he leads Division II with 1,262 rushing yards and has 11 TDs.

HANNAH MAXWELL

• Forty Fort, Pa.

Hannah, a junior at Wyoming Seminary College Prep, scored five goals and had two assists in a 10--0 win over Abington Heights. She has 28 goals through 14 games. Last season Hannah scored 20 times and led the school to a District 2 Class A title. She has committed to Wake Forest.
