As a youngster in Victoriaville, Quebec, the dark-haired debonair young French Canadian on this week's cover displayed an aptitude for baseball and hockey. Handsome, easy-going Jean Beliveau finally chose hockey, and today the 24-year-old center of the Montreal Canadiens is fulfilling all the expectations of experts who envisioned him as one of those rare skating phenomenons which turn up on the hockey scene once in a decade.
