GOLF—BETTY KERBY, Akron, Ohio, Florida East Coast women's amateur championship, 4 and 3 over Judy Bell, Wichita, Kan., at St. Augustine, Fla.

Deane Beman, Bethesda, Md., South Florida amateur championship for third time, 6 and 5 over John Eisinger Jr., Bethesda, at Jupiter, Fla.

Mickey Wright, San Diego, Calif., $6,000 Jacksonville (Fla.) women's open, for third time, with 286 for 72 holes. Runner-up: Betsy Rawls, Spartanburg, S.C., with 288.

TRACK & FIELD—RON DELANY, one mile in 4:01.4 to break world indoor record set by him two weeks ago, at 40th New York Knights of Columbus meet. Later, AL LAWRENCE, freshman at the University of Houston from Sydney, Australia, ran two miles in 8:46.8 to break world record set last month by Bill Dellinger.
