Jeannie Franz, 15, of Bartlesville, Okla., representing the Phillips 66 Swim Club, took the National Junior Championship in the women's 200-meter freestyle, stroked the distance in 2:38.9 in the AAU meet at Albuquerque's Kirtland AFB.

Dick Metz, 52, currently a Texas rancher, rallied to capture three of the last four holes in the 36-hole final, defeated Britain's Reg Horne, 51, a former Ryder Cup player, 2 and 1 for the World Senior Golf Championship at Gleneagles, Scotland.
