Last week in Manhattan 20-year-old Chess Player Bobby Fischer won the U.S. championship for the sixth time, and the games printed below make it clear he won in one of the most awesome demonstrations in chess history. He made a clean sweep of the tournament. These diagrams show the positions as one after another of the strongest players in the U.S. resigned. A feat accomplished only once before (in 1893), the triumph was made all the more remarkable by the caliber of the opponents
