FACES IN THE CROWD

Pete Chartschlaa, sophomore on the Barrington (R.I.) College soccer squad, scored 13 goals in the last two games of Barrington's 8-4-1 season—all six in a 6-0 win over Nasson (Me.) College and seven in an 8-0 victory over Nyack Missionary (N.Y) College.

Bruce Bradley, 12, and his Rumson, N.J. Pop Warner League Bulldogs outscored their eight opponents 312-0 to take the league title. Quarterback Bruce completed 47 of 72 passes for 1,066 yards and 20 touchdowns while running for eight more scores.

Pat Cloud, wife of an Orange, Texas doctor, mother of four and a 25-handicap golfer who has been playing for 10 years, scored three holes in one in the space of four months, two of them on her home course at 167 and 92 yards and the other at 114 yards.

John Dane III skippered the Tulane University crew that swept all seven races of the Douglas Cup intercollegiate match race regatta in Long Beach, Calif., in which eight teams sailed Columbia 26 Mark II sloops in seven sets of four matches each.

Barbara Hoffman, Stephens College (Mo.) freshman, took first place in the national finals of the AHSA saddle-seat equitation event at the American Royal Horse Show in Kansas City, the top competition in the country for riders 18 years old and under.

SK2 Willie Williams, a native of Longview, Texas, stationed at Brunswick Naval Air Station in Maine and playing fullback for the Griffin Club of Portland, scored 20 TDs in New England League play and led Griffin to the league's northern title.
