Chick Green, 5'10" guard for Geeter High in Memphis, who is the top scorer in the city with a 28.9 average, compiled as many points as the opposition when the Dragons defeated Westside High of Memphis 140-49 for their fifth straight league win.
Randy McArthur, a senior at Lake Superior State College in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., scored the 104th goal of his college hockey career during a game with Bemidji (Minn.) State College. Randy has also tallied 84 assists for a total 188 points in 75 games.
David Bell, 17, a senior at Highland (Ind.) High School, capped his 20-0 season cross-country record by winning the Indiana High School Championship in 9:34.8 over a rain-soaked two-mile course. David started running cross-country just last year.
Dorothea O'Connor, 17, a senior at Woodlands Academy in Lake Forest, Ill., led her school basketball team to a 29-1 season record, including a 36-29 win over Aquinas High of Chicago for first place in the Chicago AAU girls' high school tournament.
Mark Nicholas, 12, quarterback in the YMCA program in Huntsville, Ala., was chosen the outstanding back by Y coaches after he led his Jones Valley team to its fourth 95-pound city championship by throwing two touchdown passes in the title game.
Steve Baker, 5'5", 110-pound high school senior from Belling-ham, Wash., who in two years of racing has won more than 80 trophies, took the 100 cc. and 250 cc. motorcycle main events at the Canadian Motorcycle Association's races in Cloverdale, B.C.
