FACES IN THE CROWD

Mark Robinson, a 6'3" guard for White-wood (Va.) High, scored 74 points and grabbed 48 rebounds as his team defeated Rocky Gap High 131-85. Mark, who is the state's leading scorer with a 38.9 average, has led Whitewood to a 17-1 record this season.

Jeff, Billy and Peter Sullivan, 18, hockey-playing triplets from Englewood, N.J., faced each other (two against one) in a crucial Connatonic League game when Jeff (top) and Billy (center), of the South Kent (Conn.) School, opposed Peter, playing for the Gunnery School in Washington, Conn., in a contest held at South Kent. The schools were tied for first place in the league with one loss each. Peter made two assists for Gunnery, but Billy had an assist and scored the winning goal as South Kent won the game 4-3 and later took the Connatonic championship.

Bob Wheeler, senior track star at Dulaney High School in Timonium, Md., set a national scholastic record of 1:10.7 for the 600-yard distance at the U.S. Naval Academy High School Invitational Indoor Meet in Annapolis. He also won the mile, in 4:19.8.

John Hittler, a 155-pound wrestler from Bedford High in Temperance, Mich., pinned 26 opponents in 33 matches to set a national high school record. He was undefeated for the season as his team, the Kicking Mules, became Great Lakes League champions.

Mickey Miller, 5'8½" senior at Hatley (Miss.) High, set a state scoring record when he hit for 72 in a game that Hatley lost 100-82 to Hamilton High. Mickey compiled 1,114 points this season to become the first Mississippi schoolboy to go over the 1,000 mark.
