FACES IN THE CROWD

Dan Lloyd, an undefeated senior wrestler at James Lick High in San Jose, Calif., won 36 straight matches—28 by pins—in the 194-pound class this season. He took seven tournament titles, including the Central Coast Section and Northern California Invitational.

Betty Duguid, of Evanston, Ill., skipped the Wilmette, Ill. rink to the U.S. Ladies' National Curling championship in Grand Forks, N. Dak. Mrs. Duguid, whose husband won the Illinois state title, also skipped a rink to the Canadian Ladies' championship in 1967.

Al Holland, a freshman at North Carolina A&T State, who led the Aggie football team in rushing, pitched a no-hitter, striking out 25 and allowing only one ball, an infield pop, to be hit in fair territory. For the season, he is 6-1 and has struck out 95 in 52 innings.

Joann Haukereid, of Albuquerque, a mother of seven who has been bowling seriously only four years and averages 175, set a state women's record for a three-game series by rolling 225, 268 and 277 for a 770 total in Albuquerque's Fiesta Mini-Scratch League.

Larry Fogle, a 6'5" All-State center for Detroit's Cooley High, broke a Michigan scholastic record with 73 points (in only 24 minutes) in a 131-61 win over Cody High. He averaged 35.6 points and 28 rebounds during the season, including a 51-point performance.

Dana Wiltse, 16, of Standish, Mich., piloting a 500-cc. Polaris, won the state snowmobile championship in the Stock E Class of the B Class Circuit, as well as the Michigan International Snowmobile Association's High-point Driver of the Year award.
