
FACES IN THE CROWD
Maria Bozzuto, a senior at MIT, has skippered the women's sailing team to six regatta championships. In all six she has been the top-ranking sailor or low-point skipper and is the school's top female athlete. Maria also plays hockey, volleyball and basketball.
Terry Robiskie, a senior at Second Ward High in Edgard, La., scored on quarterback sneaks of 97, 84 and 80 yards. In 10 games he ran for 24 touchdowns and passed for 13 more. With Robiskie at quarterback, South Ward has won 28 straight games.
Mike Siganos, a junior halfback at St. Luke's School in New Canaan, Conn., led the Crusaders to an unbeaten record in nine games. He averaged 10.2 yards rushing for 98 carries, caught 12 passes for 391 yards and a 32.5-yard average and scored 104 points.
David Cornwell, a sophomore at Hereford High in Parkton, Md., became the third member of his family to win the state cross-country title for Class B schools. His brother Scott won in 1970 and his brother Greg captured the championship last year.
Ricky Meyer, 17, a senior at Great Neck North High, N.Y., has won 56 consecutive singles tennis matches in his four-year varsity career. He also has teamed with his brother Bob and Peter Brill to win the New York State doubles championship for three straight years.
Angelo Tavernari, a native of S√£o Paulo, Brazil, who is a center on the soccer team at Tennessee Temple College in Chattanooga, scored nine goals in a 10-0 victory over Oglethorpe University. He netted 30 goals in leading Tennessee Temple to a 15-3-1 record.
