FACES IN THE CROWD

Corinne Cutter of Lexington, Ky. is the first woman in the state to be registered as a high school football official. A head linesman and field judge for junior high games, Cutter also serves as a field judge in varsity contests. When not officiating she plays tennis and skis.

Bob Lazarovski, a student at Alfred (N.Y.) State College, booted eight goals in his soccer team's 11-0 victory over Houghton College to set the NJCAA single-game individual scoring record. Last season he led the conference with 23 goals in 14 games.

Elsworth M. Harger, 48, of Munising, Mich. and his sons René, Kirk and Greg established a record for the "Family Mile Relay," clocking a 3:58.5. The elder Harger contributed a 58.2 440 to the mile, which must be run by two generations of the same family.

Vince Reilly of Metuchen, N.J. scored 5,507 points to place first among 14-and 15-year-olds in the National AAU Junior Olympic Decathlon in Manhattan, Kans. Reilly competes in the high jump and hurdles for the St. Joseph's High School track team.

Tony Nathan of Birmingham scored seven touchdowns and a two-point conversion and rushed for 228 yards in Woodlawn High's 61-12 win over Ramsay High. Nathan scored 21 touchdowns and gained 1,397 yards rushing as he led his team to a 7-0 midseason mark.

Tom Robards, 17, of Sacramento, set an American Bowling Congress national junior record with a sanctioned three-game series of 300-266-300 at the Country Club Lanes. A senior at El Camino High, Robards had a previous high game of 286.
