A 35-year-old fire fighter, Bringhurst broke the world all-tackle record for German brown trout by 1 pound, 14 ounces when he landed a 33-pound, 10-ounce specimen on 10-pound-test line in Utah's Flaming Gorge Reservoir.

Jolly, who won the women's national collegiate sailing championship for the second straight year, has been named Yachtswoman of the Year for 1976. A 20-year-old junior at Florida State, Jolly is the youngest person to receive the trophy.

A 6'4" forward at Omaha North High, Mike set a state Class A basketball record, scoring 1,595 points in three years. He set 12 Metro records, among them points in one game (54), points in one season (916) and career scoring average (23.45).
DEBRA RANKIN
PHILLIPS, TEXAS
A 6-foot sophomore forward at Phillips High, Debra averaged 41 points a game and led her basketball team to a 30-7 record and a Class A tournament berth. Named all-state, Debra had a career high of 73 points against Mansfield High.

PHILADELPHIA
A center for the Gladiator Squirts of South Jersey, Dave, 10, scored 104 points (73 goals, 31 assists) in 44 hockey games this year. He had eight goals in one 9-3 win, including three in 15 seconds and three more in 22 seconds.

WESTMINSTER, MD.
Ray, 17, has compiled an 85-4 record in four years of wrestling for Westminster High. He has been state champion twice, at 138 pounds and 155 pounds. As a tailback for the 10-2 Owls last fall, he rushed for 1,005 yards and 16 touchdowns.
