ALLENTOWN, PA.
Gable, a 20-year-old furniture maker, set a national American Bowling Congress 10-game record of 2,399 pins in Reading, Pa. He has rolled a single-game high of 298 and has had series highs of 815, 801 and 792, all in ABC sanctioned play.

TODD RIDDLE
HOUSTON
After only five half-hour lessons, Todd, 10, shot a 47 on the back nine of the par-72 Jackrabbit Course at the Champions Golf Club. In his next outing he shot a 49 on the front side of the same course. He played both nines from the men's tees.

BILL LINDSEY
HOLLYWOOD, FLA.
Bill, 17, a third baseman and pitcher for Hollywood Hills High, tops Broward County schools in runs batted in (30) and had a 17-game hitting streak. Leading the 17-1 Spartans, Bill has an 8-1 pitching record and is batting .585.

GREG WINCHELL
LONG BEACH, CALIF.
Greg, 17, swimming for Long Beach Wilson High, broke his national high school record in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 56.39 (1.2 seconds off the American record). His previous record, set last year, was 56.68.

MIKE LEE
COLUMBUS, OHIO
Taking four of the five events, Mike, 18, won the Ohio High School State Pentathlon Championship with a record 3,541 points. Two weeks later at the Central District Indoor championships, he set a meet long-jump record of 24 feet.

DANIEL BAZZANI
NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y.
The coach of the Niagara Community College basketball team for the past seven years, Bazzani, 35, has a 150-56 record. This season the Frontiersmen won their second Region III title under his tutelage and lost in the national finals by one point.
