In five at bats against Glenville State, Higgins, a senior catcher for Shepherd College (W. Va.), hit a grand slam home run, a two-run homer, a solo homer and a triple, as Shepherd won 19-4. He ended the 24-game season with a .375 batting average.

Stephanie scored eight goals in three games to lead Harper Creek to the eighth annual Cosom International Floor Hockey Tournament title. A sixth-grade student at Harper Creek Junior High, she scored 48 goals in 24 games.

Brinkman, 24, became only the 12th bowler in the history of the American Bowling Congress to roll back-to-back 300 games. During his 825 series, he had 32 strikes, including three in the 10th frame of his opening 225 game, for 27 in a row.

A sophomore at Omaha Burke High, Bob won his second consecutive state racquetball title in the 17-and-under division. He also took the Omaha City Closed Singles title, 17-and-under junior division, and was third in the USRA regionals.

Scoring 10 goals for the Rutgers lacrosse team against C. W. Post, Sweeney, 19, set a record for goals scored in one game. He also had three assists in the game, which Rutgers won 24-7, for a total of 13 points—one shy of the school record.

ROBINSON, TEXAS
Brent, a senior pitcher for Robinson High, threw three consecutive no-hitters and had a 10-0 record and a 0.36 ERA. He gave up only 15 hits and seven walks in 63⅖ innings in leading the Rockets to their second district 19-AA title.
