Schreiber, 21, riding a Bultaco, won the 1979 world championship of trials motorcycling, a series of 12 events that test a cyclist's skills over rough terrain. He is the youngest rider and only American ever to win the title.

DARRYL GEE
COLUMBIA, MD.
Darryl, 17, scored 25 goals this season to pace Oakland Mills High to a 14-1 record and the Maryland Class B soccer championship. A forward on the U.S. National under-19 team, he has led the Scorpions to a three-year record of 38-5-1.

MOLLY VAN NOSTRAND
BRIGHTWATERS, N.Y.
Molly, 14, won the state high school girls' tennis championship in Liverpool, N.Y., by beating Deirdre Ettus, who is 17, 6-3, 6-1. A ninth-grader at Bay Shore Junior High, she is the youngest player ever to win the title.

JEFFERSON CITY, MO.
Adkins, 55, has a 22-year record of 205-18-2 as football coach at Jefferson City High. He has guided the Jays to 11 undefeated seasons and three of the last four state championships. In one eight-year span his teams won 71 straight.

AKRON
Kizer, 31, averaging 83.7 mph in an MG Midget, won the Sports Car Club of America H Production national championship over 20 male drivers at Road Atlanta, Ga. She is the first woman to win an SCCA national title since 1963.

FINN KELLY
PORTLAND, MAINE
Finn, a fifth-grader who runs 25 miles a week and maintains a six-minutes-a-mile pace in road races with adults, won the AAU 9-and-under 1½-mile national championship in Hightstown, N.J. in 8:32.2, beating 126 other runners.
