Mike, a 6'4", 245-pound senior wrestler at Bishop Miege High, pinned 28 opponents on the way to a 3l-0 season and his second state heavyweight title. He will attend the University of Texas on a football scholarship next fall.

Ottey, a freshman at Nebraska, set a women's world indoor record by running the 300-meter dash in 37.13 at the AIAW indoor championships in Columbia, Mo. She also holds the world indoor mark at 300 yards (33.64).

MacInnes, 54, hockey coach at Michigan Tech since 1956, led the Huskies to a 5-1 victory over Denver for his 502nd career triumph to become college hockey's winningest coach. The record of 501 was set by John Kelley of Boston College.

Chuck, a six-foot all-state guard at Lockport Township High, had 1,246 points as a four-year starter and led the Porters to a 110-9 record and the 1978 state class AA title. His father, Charles Sr., was Lockport's last four-year starter, 1954-58.

SOUTH RANGE, WIS.
Haugen, a 32-year-old mother of two, was the first woman finisher in the three-day Yukon Jack World Snowshoe Championship, completing the 83-mile course from Superior to Rice Lake, Wis. in the record time of 17:26:56.

MILL VALLEY, CALIF.
Steve, 15, a freshman golfer at Marin Catholic High, shot a three-over-par 75 to win the Northern California Junior Golf Association Tournament of Champions at Pebble Beach. He is the youngest player ever to hold the NCJGA title.
