Bond, 34, an architectural draftsman, covered 391.25 miles in 24 hours of continuous bicycling at the Lehigh County (Pa.) Velodrome. Before his 1,891-lap ride, he cycled as many as 500 miles per week for eight months, a total of 8,500 miles.

MIAMI
Stokes, 41, has coached the women's volleyball team at Miami-Dade Community College to 11 consecutive state titles and a 354-67 record. Her teams have placed in the top five at the national junior college championships seven times.
ROOSEVELT GLASPER
FAIRFAX, OKLA.
Roosevelt, a 6'1", 191-pound senior, rushed for 408 yards and four touchdowns in leading Ross Case High to a 34-19 victory over Cascia Hall High. He also played middle linebacker on defense, and he had a hand in 11 tackles.

JOLEEN KIRVIN
PEMBROKE PINES, FLA.
Joleen, 17, and Jeff, 15, won the girls' and boys' open titles at the All America Youth Bowling Championship in Alexandria, Va. Joleen, the Florida girls' open champ and a freshman at Broward Community College in Hollywood, had an average score of 189 at the tournament, which included more than 200 bowlers. Jeff, a junior at Tremper High and the Wisconsin boys' open champ, had a 234 average on the final day to move up from fourth place and raise his tournament average to 201.

BOYERTOWN, PA.
Babel, 18, went 19-1 with a 1.68 ERA and 136 strikeouts in 168 innings while pitching Boyer-town to a 53-10 record and second place in the American Legion World Series. The lefthander was 13-0 last spring for Boyertown High.
