Luckie, a 269-pound University of Florida senior, set a national bench-press record by lifting 600 pounds. The 1980 SEC champion in discus and shot-put and defensive tackle on Florida's football team, he broke the old mark by 65 pounds.

McKissick, 54, has coached the Summerville High football team to two straight state Class 4A titles and 35 consecutive wins. His record is 269-49-12 in 29 years at the school, and his teams have won five state championships.

Shawn, a 5'10", 165-pound senior halfback at Clinton High, gained 305 yards on 21 carries and scored all his team's points in a 20-12 defeat of Westboro High. He had TD runs of 80, 50 and 19 yards and ran for a two-point conversion.

GERMANTOWN, TENN.
Jimmy, 15, won the USTA Boys' 16 singles title at the Junior National Championships in Kalamazoo, Mich., defeating Jonathan Canter of Beverly Hills 6-2, 6-2 in the finals. Earlier this year he won the Boys' 16 Clay Court title in Nashville.

Laurie and Eric are the U.S. Golf Association Girls' and Boys' Junior Amateur golf champions. Laurie, who is a sophomore at the University of Florida, defeated Libby Akers of French Lick, Ind. five and four in the 18-hole final match at Crestview Country Club in Wichita, Kans. to win the 32nd girls' championship, while Eric, a freshman at the University of Oregon, beat Bruce Soulsby of Columbus, Ohio four and three to win the 33rd boys' championship at Pine Lake Country Club in Orchard Lake, Mich.
