Terri, a senior center-forward for Silver Lake Regional High, set U.S. high school field hockey records for goals in one game (11) and one season (42) while leading her team to an 11-0-1 mark. Her 96 career goals were six shy of another record.

Fred, a 6'3", 190-pound senior at Fort Lauderdale's Cardinal Gibbons High, passed for 1,954 yards and 19 TDs this season, giving him 4,719 yards and 44 touchdowns in his career. He is one of the nation's three top quarterback prospects.

Tonia, an 8-year-old center-forward, was the leading scorer in the Honolulu American Youth Soccer Organization with 21 goals. She was the only player to score for her team, the Cougars, who finished with a league-leading 9-1 record.

John, 14, the Southeastern U.S. Junior Olympic 3,000-meter champion, set a national 14-and-under road-racing record of 55:19 in the Lynchburg (Va.) Ten Miler, lowering the previous mark by 1:33 and finishing 66th out of 4,000 runners.

Steve, 26, part owner of a bowling equipment shop, has been Cincinnati's male Bowler of the Year three times in a row. He won the 1980 American Bowling Congress all-events title, was the highest finisher (ninth) among amateurs in the 1980 U.S. Open and won the local qualifying tournament for the 1981 Open. His wife Nancy, 23, a stenographer for the FBI, whose average is 207 compared to Steve's 218, also won the '81 qualifier and has been Cincy's female Bowler of the Year four straight times.
