Chris, a 5'11" senior forward at Marion Bennett High, scored 41 points to lead her team to a 51-39 victory against Frankton. In 3½ varsity seasons she's averaging 24.9 points and 12.6 rebounds a game and has scored 1,089 points.

SKOKIE, ILL.
Mostow, a 77-year-old retired mail-order merchandiser who runs 60 miles a week, has finished 14 marathons, including those in Boston and New York, in the past 40 months. His personal best is 4:12:08, set in Los Angeles on July 4.

Todd and Brent, both seniors, broke virtually all the Texas high school passing and receiving records, many of which were set by the NFL's Tommy Kramer and John Jefferson, in leading Thomas Jefferson High to a 14-1 record and a berth in the Class 5A title game. Todd, selected as the top U.S. high school quarterback by the National High School Coaches Association, completed 221 of 357 passes for 3,137 yards and 30 touchdowns. Brent caught 89 of those throws for 1,380 yards and 16 TDs.

EAST LANSING, MICH.
Heather, 15, a freshman swimmer at East Lansing High, won state 50-and 100-yard freestyle titles at the Michigan Class A high school meet. Her heat times of 23.44 and 50.50 were the second-best ever in the high school competition.

Matt, a 9-year-old forward, had 73 goals and 15 assists in leading The Sting to a 19-0 record and first place in the under-10 Sagebrush Soccer League. The Sting had 15 shutouts and allowed only five goals all season, while scoring 205.
