READING, PA.
Seitz, 41, a land-use planner, won the state tomahawk and knife throwing championship in Harrisburg. Aiming for a playing-card-sized target at 12 feet, he hit on five of 10 throws with his tomahawk and eight of 10 with his 13"-long knife.

Lana, a senior at Ames High, scored 37.20 out of a possible 40 points to win her third consecutive girls' all-round championship at the state high school gymnastics meet in Des Moines. No one else has won the title more than once.

Jim, 12, a left wing on the Mounds View B Pee Wee "traveling" ice-hockey team, scored three goals in 23 seconds during a 9-2 defeat of Upper St. Croix. In a 6-1 win over Blaine in November, he got a hat trick in 24 seconds.

SAN MATEO, CALIF.
Cameron, a senior at Ohio State, was high scorer at the AIAW synchronized swimming national meet. She was first in the solo and second in the senior figures and, with other Buckeyes, finished first in team routines and second in duet.

MONROE, LA.
Benoit, a 6'11" junior center at Carroll High, got 33.5 points and 18.5 rebounds a game in leading the Bulldogs to a 25-5 regular-season record and their third district title with him in the lineup. Their record over that span is 78-15.

WHEELING, W. VA.
Kuproski, 55, an appliance serviceman and a bowler who averages 183, rolled two perfect games in a three-game series (300, 190, 300) in the singles competition of the state tournament held at Steel Valley Lanes in Weirton.
