Fitts, a 39-year-old hospital administrator and slo-pitch softball pitcher in the Gainesville Recreation Department's Metro League, threw a perfect game to lead the Ten Plus team to a 16-0 victory over Burns Brothers Construction.

Joelle, a 10th-grader at Holy Name High and a three-time Reading city marbles champion, beat 11-year-old Lisa Stamm, also of Reading, six games to five in the best-of-11 girls' final of the national marbles tournament for shooters aged 8 to 14, in Wild-wood, N.J. Jeff, a ninth-grader at Fort Hill High, a former champion of his hometown and an eighth-place finisher in the nationals two years ago, defeated Byron Ford, 14, of Robeson County, N.C. 11-4 to win the boys' title.

Mary, 18, who will be a freshman at Princeton this fall, won girls' state Class AAA high school titles in the shotput (43'4½') and discus (134'8") for Bethel Park Senior High. Her 22-year-old brother, Joe, who won the Pennsylvania Interscholastic boys' shot (64'1½") and discus (162'8") championships in 1977 as a senior at Bethel Park, had a put of 66'¼" this season for Louisiana State and came in second in the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Detroit.

Sharon, who will attend Arizona State this fall, won her second straight state high school girls' 100-meter-dash title and ran on the Berkeley High 4 X 100 relay team that set a national scholastic record of 45.13 in the state meet.
