Medaglia, 46, a secretary, ran 126 miles, 749 yards during a 24-hour event in Greenwich, Conn. to establish a women's world record for distance covered in one day. She surpassed the previous mark by three miles, 156 yards.

Pat, 7, scored 43 goals in 11 games, including six in each of four matches, to lead the Rowdies to the Woodstock Pee-Wee League soccer title. He had the only goal in the all-star game and scored three times in his team's 5-0 title-clinching win.
Gary, a senior tailback and linebacker, had 11 solo tackles, rushed for 286 yards on 33 carries and had three TD runs, one for 67 yards, in a 28-27 win for Jackson Central-Merry High. He also has scored on runs of 98, 83 and 82 yards.
Glick, 70, won the women's golf championship at Woodholme Country Club with a three-stroke victory over Arlene Birnbaum, 41, to regain a title she had won every year from 1939 to 1943. She hadn't played in the event since '43.
Ricky, a third-grader at Wabasha Elementary School, won the Minnesota 65-pound wrestling title in Fairmont, Minn. to give him three state championships in as many years. He has won all of his 92 career matches and has scored 70 pins.
