TYRONE SMITH
GAUTIER, MISS.
Tyrone, a second-grader at College Park Elementary, scored 35 goals while leading the Battle-stars to an 11-0 record in the Gulf Coast Youth Soccer Association's Division IV. Playing goalie for a quarter a game, he allowed only two scores.

BLOOMINGTON, MINN.
Menke, a senior at Jefferson High, became the first gymnast to sweep all of the events at the state high school meet. He won the rings, floor exercise, high bar, pommel horse, parallel bars, vaulting horse and the all-around.

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, FLA.
Penny, a senior at North Miami Beach High and the No. 7 seed, won the Orange Bowl World Junior Tennis Championships girls' 18-and-under singles crown. She defeated Hana Fukarkova of Czechoslovakia 6-2, 6-3 in the final.

FRANKLIN, TENN.
Chas, 10, set national 10-and-under records in the 50-yard freestyle (25.98), 50 backstroke (29.23), 100 butterfly (1:02.35), 100 back (1:04.04) and 200 individual medley (2:14.82) at the Nashville Aquatic Club's Holiday Invitational.

FLAGSTAFF, ARIZ.
Stan, a 5'10", 200-pound senior tailback for Flag-staff High, paced the Eagles to a 12-0-1 record and the state AA title by rushing for 2,110 yards and scoring 35 touchdowns this season. He ran for 200 yards in each of six games.

ST. PAUL
Kaiser, a junior right wing at the University of Lowell in Massachusetts, scored a hat trick in each period as the Chiefs' hockey team beat American International College 22-0. He leads the 13-1 Chiefs with 19 goals and 20 assists.
