David, a recent graduate of The Collegiate Schools, won five events at the Virginia Private Schools Track Meet: the high, triple and long jumps (6'6", 44'7" and 22'6", respectively) and the 100-and 200-meter dashes (11.1 and 22.5).

PARSIPPANY, N.J.
JoAnn, 18, led 22-1 Parsippany Hills High to its second consecutive girls' Group III state softball title with a 15-0 pitching record. Since 1980 she has had a 52-2 mark, five no-hitters and 411 strikeouts. She has also won her last 38 starts.

ARVADA, COLO.
Jim, a May graduate of Arvada High, was undefeated in the shotput, lost once in the discus and was state AAA champ in both events the past three years. At the 1982 Golden West Invitational he won the shot (68'2½") and discus (202'1").
EMILY COWLING
RALEIGH, N.C.
Emily, 12, set three state 11-12 girls' swimming records at the North Carolina Short Course Junior Olympics. She won the 50 (25.44) and 100-yard (54.81) freestyle and the 200 IM (2:15.84). Earlier she set a state mark in the 50 butterfly (28.55).

SCARSDALE, N.Y.
Resnick, 44, a physical education teacher, coached the Scarsdale High girls' soccer team to a 20-0 record and its fourth straight Section 1, Class A championship. In four years under Resnick, the Raiders have a 75-0-1 record.
RENEE SHEAR
ALLENTOWN, PA.
Renee, 15, won the girls' national physical fitness championship in Colorado Springs by scoring 395 points in five events—sit-ups, push-ups, pull-ups, the standing long jump and the 300-yard shuttle run—to break the record of 353 set last year.
