Danny, 9, finished the San Francisco Marathon, the second such race he has entered, in 3:19:50 and during the next 23 days ran the 541.1 miles to San Dimas, averaging 23.5 miles a day, with his father following in a camper.

Leslie, 18, a graduate of the Country Day School, was selected her city's most outstanding female scholar-athlete. She won 11 varsity letters and all-city honors in basketball and track and was a 4.0 student and senior class president.

Anson, 76, who didn't play golf until he was 50, was two shots better than his age on the par-72, 6,522-yard Indian Valley Country Club course. A 12 handicapper who plays three times a week, Anson had two birdies, four bogeys and 12 pars.

Chris, a 10th-grader, swam the top 200- and 400-meter IM times for 15-year-old girls this year at the U.S.A.-U.S.S.R. meet in Kishinev. Her 2:20.22 in the 200 and 4:54.20 in the 400 would have won gold medals at the 1972 Olympics.

Barnes, 22, a 1982 Colgate graduate, played on two state title teams on the same day, scoring the winning goal for the Peterborough Soccer Club, then playing third base as Roland's Exxon won the New Hampshire 16-inch softball crown.

CORONA DEL MAR, CALIF.
Martyn, 44, became the only woman to finish both of the Pikes Peak Marathon races in one weekend. On Saturday she ran the 14.3-mile ascent in 4:26:09; on Sunday she ran up and down the 28.2-mile mountain course in 7:13:14.
