Martin, a senior All-America forward on Harvard's field hockey team, broke the school career scoring record with 33 goals in 60 games. Last year, she co-captained the Crimson basketball squad and started on the lacrosse team.

Burt, a junior quarterback at Capistrano Valley High, completed 19 of 25 passes for 337 yards and a CIF regional-record seven TDs as the Cougars beat Laguna Hills 63-13. For the season he was 151 for 251 for 2,095 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Michele, 13, swam the 500-yard freestyle in 4:45.22 to break Tracy Caulkins' national prep school record of 4:48.55, set in 1980. She is ranked in the world's top 15 freestylers in the 1,500 (fourth), 800 (10th) and 400 meters (14th).

ROCHESTER, N.Y.
Michael, 12, scored 121 goals and had 33 assists to lead the Greece Express to a 37-1 record and the New York State West Youth Soccer Association Under-12 Cup. His season's goal total is one of the highest ever recorded in the U.S.

Eva, a 5'7" senior at Mother McAuley High, won all-state honors as the Mighty Macs went 48-0 and won the Illinois AA girls' volleyball title. She converted 92% of her kill opportunities to help McAuley stretch its win streak to 138 matches.
GARY ANDREW
CHAPEL HILL, N.C.
Andrew, 30, a math teacher, has coached Chapel Hill High cross-country teams to six state titles in the past four years, the boys winning in 1979 through '82 and the girls in '80 and '81. His teams have a dual-meet record of 50-1.
