Zaff, a Williams College junior, is believed to be the first player in four years to have been named an All-America in both squash and tennis (Division III). He recently lost in the quarterfinals of the squash intercollegiate nationals at Princeton.

Katrina, a 6'3" senior center, averaged 28.0 points and 14.8 rebounds a game and shot 73% from the field to lead 30-0 St. Andrews High to the state girls' Class AAA basketball championship. She also blocked 10 shots in the title game.

Magener, a 92-year-old retired realtor, set national age-group records in the 50-and 100-meter freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke to help the Olympic Club defeat Oregon 1,285-1,210 in the Long Course Masters National Championship.

Katie, 17, broke her own national teenage girls' record in the 114-pound class when she bench-pressed 160 pounds at the 13th Annual Bob Moon Powerlifting Championships. She finished third in open competition with a total of 594 pounds.

Sanchez, a sophomore at VMI, ran the third-fastest indoor 500 meters ever. His time, 1:01.38, was .13 better than the official American mark, but it will not be accepted as a national record because the track lacked an inside curb.

Dolyniuk, a senior at the Naval Academy, is a three-time Division II All-America in women's swimming, a 1982 Academic All-America in women's volleyball and a three-letter woman in crew—and commands a regiment of 2,000.
