Mary, a senior at Hamlin High, won the long jump with a girls' Class AA state record of 19'¾" and the 200-meter dash in 23.9 at the Texas high school championships. She has lost in the 200 only three times since the seventh grade.

Marc, a sophomore attackman, and Guy, a senior goalkeeper, led Hobart College to a 13-2 record and its fourth consecutive NCAA Division III lacrosse championship. Marc, who was the Statesmen's second-leading scorer with 21 goals and 20 assists, had a goal and four assists and was MVP in Hobart's 13-9 victory over Roanoke (Va.) College in the championship game, while Guy, a three-time Division III All-America and the only player to have started on all four title teams, had 14 saves.

Carol, a senior at Carlsbad High, pitched the Cave Girls to the Class AAAA state girls' softball title. The same day she played on the winning state girls' tennis doubles team. Carol is also her school's alltime basketball scorer.

WOBURN, MASS.
Keith, a senior at Woburn High, who won the 1983 state and New England high school wrestling titles at 169 pounds, had a three-year record of 104-6, including 64 pins. He captained the Tanners' football, wrestling and baseball teams.

Liu, 74, after leaving Taiwan 18 months ago, won the women's 70-and-over National Indoor Championship in tennis, beating Ann Hoffmann 6-0, 6-1. She also paired with Jacqueline Piatigorsky of Los Angeles to win the doubles 6-3, 6-1.
