MIKE LUTZ
BEL AIR, MD.
Mike, 12, contributed 42 points and tight defensive play to lead the Bel Air Recreation Council lacrosse team to a 12-1 record. In the league championship game, he scored four goals and had two assists in an 11-0 rout of Cockeysville.
ROBIN DOLAN
COCOA BEACH, FLA.
Robin, a junior at Cocoa Beach High, reached the state girls' high school tennis finals one year after she switched from playing righthanded to left because of tennis elbow. Robin never lost a set en route to her 17-0 regular-season record.
DAVID BRUNDAGE
SALEM, ORE.
David, 18, who graduated in June from McKay High, played on the state-metro basketball, football and baseball Class AAA all-star teams this summer. The last player chosen for the three all-star events was Celtics Guard Danny Ainge in 1977.
OSCAR MOORE
GLASSBORO, N.J.
Moore, 45, a 1964 U.S. Olympian in the 5,000 meters, coached Glassboro State's track and field team to its fourth straight NCAA Division III championship, a division record. Moore was Coach of the Year for the fourth time as well.
KELLY MADDEN
DORCHESTER, MASS.
Kelly, 15, won both the 15-and 16-year-old 1,500 and 3,000 meters at the TAC Age Group Nationals, the third straight year she had won in both distances. Her Junior Cross-country title in 1981 gives her a total of seven national titles.
JIM CONNELL
EAGLE, IDAHO
Connell, a 55-year-old mining engineer, never allowed a goal while playing center fullback for the M-K Strikers. He led the team to a 10-2 season record and first place in the Senior League of the Southern Idaho Soccer Association.
