Brown, 38, set a national field archery record for the highest aggregate bow-hunter score with 2,537 points. In 12 years he has won two world field titles, six national crowns, nine Mid-Atlantic sectional championships and 11 state titles.

REISTERSTOWN, MD.
Michael, 17, led Reisterstown to the Dizzy Dean World Series championship by striking out 17 of the 21 batters he faced in the final game against the team from Houma, La. He fanned nine consecutive batters and was named Series MVP.

Karen, a sophomore at Greeneville High, won the girls' state high school golf championship with a 36-hole score of 159 at Henry Horton State Park in Chapel Hill. She finished the tournament five strokes ahead of Nita Drinnon of Chattanooga.

COLLINSVILLE, ILL.
Clement, 36, a sales manager for an offset duplicating-machine dealership, drove his Datsun 280ZX to all four amateur road-race titles. This month he will compete for the national championship, for which he was the runner-up in 1982.

Jack, who as a junior in 1983 was ranked No. 1 on the Pittsford Sutherland High tennis team, and his teammate Tim, the Knights' No. 2 player, became the first unseeded duo to win the out-of-season New York State high school doubles tournament by defeating the fifth-seeded pair of Charles Tillapaugh and Tim Ruggiero 6-3, 6-4. In the ninth game of the second set Jack and Tim trailed 30-0 on their opponents' serve before they rallied for four consecutive points to all but win the match.
