Jeffrey, a junior I-back for Ross Sterling-Houston High, scored five touchdowns on five consecutive carries in the Raiders' 48-0 victory over Scarborough High. He gained 147 yards on 15 rushes while playing only three quarters.

KODIAK, ALASKA
Kristi, a freshman at Kodiak High School, paced the Bears' girls' cross-country team to the state championship. She also won the girls' individual title with a clocking of 17:49 around the five-kilometer Settlers' Bay racecourse.

MENASHA, WIS.
Ratchman, a 36-year-old test welder with a 216 bowling average, rolled an 878 series while competing in the Toys Couples league in Menasha. Ratchman had games of 279, 299 and 300 and threw 32 strikes in 36 attempts.

CENTEREACH, N.Y.
Tracey, a senior forward and four-year starter for Centereach High School's girls' field hockey team, had three goals in the Cougars' 13-0 win over East Islip, thereby breaking the national high school career scoring record of 101 goals.

Duffy, a freshman at the University of Vermont, defeated Bill Friend, a junior from Tufts, 6-2, 6-3 in the final match to win the men's Flight I singles championship at the recent ECAC North District II-III tennis tournament in Albany, N.Y.

Deanna, a senior guard for Onsted High's girls' basketball team, has led the Wildcats to a 15-1 record in the Lenawee County Athletic Association. She leads her team in rebounding (8.9 per game) and the county in scoring (21.1).
