DWAYNE WASHINGTON
SYRACUSE
A 6'2" guard, Washington was named MVP of both the McDonald's and the Dapper Dan high school all-star games. He averaged 35 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists and four steals a game for Boys and Girls High in Brooklyn in 1982-83.

TINA HUTCHINSON
SAN DIEGO STATE
Hutchinson, a 6'3" forward who was named girls high school player of the year last season by Parade magazine, averaged 35.6 points, 14.1 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 8.3 steals and 3.2 blocks per game for Lincoln High in East St. Louis, Ill.

FRANK FORD
AUBURN
Ford, a 6'4" guard, averaged 26.4 points and 21.5 rebounds a game last season in leading Osceola High in Kissimmee, Fla. to a 37-0 record and the Class AAA state title. He also holds the AAU single-game scoring mark of 49 points.

CLEMETTE HASKINS
WESTERN KENTUCKY
Haskins, a 5'9" guard, scored 21.7 points and got 9.1 rebounds a game in 1982-83 for Warren Central High in Bowling Green, Ky. and won the state's Miss Basketball award. She's the daughter of Hilltopper men's Coach Clem Haskins.

TIM McCALISTER
OKLAHOMA
McCalister, a 6'3" guard, scored 20.8 of Gary (Ind.) West Side High's 64.5 points per game last season and added 7.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists per outing for the Cougars. He is expected to start at shooting guard for the Sooners.

MIKE SMITH
BRIGHAM YOUNG
Smith, a 6'8½" forward, was an All-America in two sports in 1982-83 at Los Altos High in Hacienda Heights, Calif. He averaged 30.1 points and 15.9 rebounds a game in basketball and threw for 3,347 yards and 40 TDs in football.
