Bob, a 6'3" junior guard for the Red Bank Catholic High basketball team, sank 23 of 24 free throws, including all 10 in the fourth quarter, to lead the Caseys to a 71-65 win over Long Branch High. He finished the game with 31 points.

Jackson, 20, a University of Hawaii rightfielder, reached base 13 consecutive times in three games. He went 5 for 5 in a 12-4 defeat of Hawaii Pacific and had three hits and five walks in a 7-0, 9-4 doubleheader sweep of Hawaii-Hilo.

Ed, a senior at Lincoln High, is 57-0 with 37 pins in four years of varsity wrestling for the Rail-splitters. He has won three Public League titles and as of Sunday was 9-0 with eight pins this season in the 157-pound class.

Tara, a senior at Riggs High, was named the state's 1983 female athlete of the year. She was the high school girls' 400-meter dash champ; she won a jumping title at the South Dakota 4-H horse show and was all-state in girls' basketball.

Peters, 46, hockey coach at Bemidji State, won his 400th game in his 19th season behind the bench. He guided North Dakota to third place in the 1965 NCAAs and in 1966 became coach of the Beavers, who as of Sunday were 27-0 this year.

Karen, a 6-foot senior forward-center for the Parkville High girls' basketball team, averaged 27.0 points and 24 rebounds for the Knights. She had 47 points and 33 rebounds in Parkville's 77-51 defeat of Eastern Vocational Tech High.
