Dain, 15, a six-time national age-group wrestling champion, has won 16 state titles since he took up the sport at age six. The reigning state 12-14 Greco-Roman and freestyle titlist, he has a 285-8 freestyle record over the past nine years.
Lori, a senior at Boone County High, became the state girls' high school golf champion by shooting a 19-over-par 159 for 36 holes at Elizabethtown Country Club. Two years ago her brother, Bruce, won the state boys' golf championship.
Segrest, 47, the track and field coach at Odessa College, guided the Wranglers to an unprecedented eighth straight national juco title—four indoor and four outdoor—in San Angelo, Texas. Odessa beat runner-up Ranger (Idaho) J.C. 109-96.
Daniel, who will be a freshman at Mississippi State this fall, set three state Class A records, in the Georgia Olympics, in the long jump (23'9½") and the 100 (9.83) and 220 (21.46). He also anchored the record-setting (3:22.71) mile-relay team.

Tao, 74, a former member of the Taiwan Assembly, won her second straight 70-and-over women's indoor national tennis title when Jacqueline Piatigorsky of Los Angeles defaulted. She won the 70-and-over grand slam last year.
Kenny, 12, who will be a seventh-grader at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School this fall, came on in relief in the top of the third with the bases loaded and one out and struck out the next 13 batters, as his Little League Phillies beat the Gold Team 1-0.
