Tab, 8, pinned two opponents and outscored two others at the state wrestling championships to win the 61-pound division for his age group. He won all 16 tournaments he entered this season and had 24 pins in 52 matches.

Ronda, 18, led Wheatland High to the girls' state track and volleyball titles and into the basketball final. She was 33-0 in track and field events, holds five state track records and won a second state Class AAA Player of the Year award.

Westphall, 70, a retired home builder, set a national 70-75 age-group cycling record with a clocking of 1:10.16 in a 40-km time trial that qualified him for the national championships. He beat Nelson Dunn's year-old mark by 21.5 seconds.

Lori, 14, in four months won five state girls' titles: Class I junior division gymnastic vaulting, the pentathlon and three age-group 13-14 track events. She has the state high jump record (5'0") in the Junior Olympics' Youth Division.

Schow, a sophomore centerfielder, and Van Every, a sophomore third baseman, led the College of Southern Idaho to the NJCAA baseball title two years after having paced Minico High to the Idaho state baseball championship. Schow, who broke a 7-7 tie with a ninth-inning homer in the NJCAA title game with San Jacinto College, led Southern Idaho in six regular-season offensive categories, including batting average (.439). Van Every batted .411 and led in three categories.
