Marcus, a seventh-grader at Annapolis Junior High, won the Maryland Monopoly championship in a statewide tournament and thereby became, at 12 years, five months, the youngest competitor at the nationals in Los Angeles.

Paula, a senior field hockey goalkeeper for Burrillville High, didn't allow a goal this year as the Lady Broncos rolled to a 12-0-1 record and the state title. In three seasons she gave up only seven goals and shut out opponents in 28 of 32 games.

TROY, N.Y.
Crotty, 21, passed for 491 yards and ran for 24 more to set an NCAA Division III single-game total offense mark and lead Hamilton College to a 49-31 win over Middle-bury. He completed 20 of 29 passes including six for touchdowns.

Colleen, a senior at Moon Area High, and Kelly, a sophomore, won their second straight girls' state high school doubles tennis title by defeating Carolyn Pierce and Suzanne Jobe of Gateway High 7-6 (7-2), 6-2 in the finals in Harrisburg. The Deeps, who are the first sisters to win the Pennsylvania doubles crown, were 34-1 together over the last two years. Colleen, who also plays No. 1 singles for the Tigers, was 12-2 this fall, and Kelly, who plays No. 2, was 13-1.

COLUMBUS, OHIO
Hile, 30, a firearms instructor for the Columbus police force, earned an unprecedented third straight National Police Revolver title, in Des Moines, with a score of 1,494 out of a possible 1,500. He hit 115 bull's eyes in 150 shots.
