Tim, a senior quarterback for Havre High, led the state in total offense with 2,393 yards, passing for 1,473 and 16 touchdowns and rushing for 920 and 13 TDs. In a 40-31 win over Libby High, he threw for 222 yards and ran for another 201.

DENVER
Moore, 42, a concessionaire, ran 122 miles, 186 yards to beat Robyn Hanscom by nearly 10 miles and win the women's division of the Sri Chinmoy 24-Hour Race. Her distance was a best in the world for a woman in the 40-44 age group.

Weyman, 28, a cartographer, won his fourth U.S. men's orienteering title at Hawn State Park in Missouri. He finished the two-day, 22-km event in a time of 2:30:36, edging Dieter Wolf of Affolternam Albis, Switzerland by four seconds.

Karli, 17, led Omaha Northwest High to its second straight girls' state gymnastic title by winning all five individual gold medals (floor exercise, balance beam, uneven bars, vault and all-around). She won four of the five golds in 1983.

APPLETON, WIS.

Moberg, 30, and Reinke, 28, bowling for the Maritime Bar, each rolled a perfect game on the same night in the Tavern League at Hahn's Lanes in Appleton. Moberg, a purchaser and estimator, rolled his 300 in his first game and then finished with a 204 and a 178 for a 682 series. Reinke, who builds welding equipment, rolled 236-300-278 for an 814 series. It was the first perfect game for Reinke, the second for Moberg. Maritime Bar defeated Hahn's Lanes 3,311 to 2,648 that night.
