Alexander, 26, a special-education teacher, won the Washington, D.C. Marathon in 2:25:08, paring more than a minute off the course record. He also won the D.C. event in 1983, and finished fourth in the 1984 Philadelphia Marathon.
Deborah, a 5'7" senior guard, led Pace Academy to a 26-2 record, averaging 30.1 points (with a game high of 52), 8.2 assists and 7.3 steals per game. In four years Deborah scored 3,073 points, believed to be a Georgia basketball record.
Marty, a senior at Huffman High and a centerfielder on the Vikings baseball team, hit three grand slam home runs in a 26-8 win over Woodlawn High, breaking the national scholastic record of two in one game shared by 11 players.
Sara, the only freshman on the girls' varsity ice hockey team at Taft School in Watertown, Conn., scored 25 goals this season while pacing the Big Red to a 14-1-1 record and their second straight Founders League title.
Steve, a 6'6", 205-pound senior forward at Governor Dummer Academy in Byfield, Mass., scored 45 points in a 75-57 win over Buckingham, Browne and Nichols for the New England prep basketball title. His 30.3 ppg average led the state.
Creech, 72, who underwent open heart surgery in 1981, bowled a 279 game with nine straight strikes, a spare and a strike while competing in the Super Seniors League. She has used the same ball since taking up the sport at age 51.
