Born and Abt, swimmers at Kenyon College, had a hand in a total of 12 victories and 11 NCAA Division III records to lead the men's and women's teams to national championships. Born, a junior, set records in winning the 50-yard freestyle (19.97), 100 free (43.65) and 100 butterfly (49.57). Three other wins and two other records came in relays. Abt, a sophomore, broke records in the 50 free (23.68), 100 free (52.04) and 200 free (1:52.80) and swam on three record-breaking relays.

CHRIS JOHNSTONE
NIAGARA FALLS, ONT.
Johnstone, a senior center at Rochester Institute of Technology, guided the Division III Tigers to their second NCAA hockey title in three years (Division II in 1983). Johnstone was RIT's top scorer four straight years with 250 career points.

BRANDON, FLA.
Toney, a 6'5" forward at Brandon High, set a Florida season scoring record with a 1,240 points. In his senior year Toney averaged 41.3 points and 15.4 rebounds per game, scoring a career-high 71 points in a 130-87 win over Winter Haven.

NEWPORT, R.I.
Corcoran, junior captain of Brown's women's ice hockey team, broke the school career, points record with 77 goal's and 79 assists and led the Pandas to the Ivy League title. She also holds the school season record with 33 goals and 31 assists.

PHILADELPHIA
Eric, a 5'9" junior guard on the Mastbaum Tech basketball team, scored from 84'11.15" to set the unofficial high school-record for the longest field goal. The shot came in the closing seconds of a 111-65 win over Abraham Lincoln.
