Landrum, a University of North Alabama center-fielder, set a Gulf South Conference single-season record of 69 steals to end his career with 150. He also established GSC season and career records for runs with 79 and 197, respectively.

NINEVEH, N.Y.
Holly, who will be an Afton Central High sophomore, struck out 248 batters and pitched five no-hitters en route to a 20-2 softball record. She hurled a three-hitter in a 12-2 win over Eastchester-Tuckahoe to clinch the state Class D title.

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W. VA.
Randy, 18, broke Bill Fields' 28-year-old state high school discus record by 6'1" feet with a throw of 181'1" at the state championships. Randy, who will attend Texas A&M in the fall, is also a two-time state shotput champ.
BENNIE GUERRA
JANESVILLE, WIS.
Bennie, 10, who will be a fifth-grader at Madison Elementary School, won the Northern Plains regional wrestling title for 9- and 10-year-olds in the 100-pound weight class. The win raised his freestyle career record to 121-4.
SHIRLEY EVANS
DETROIT
Shirley, who will be a sophomore at Detroit Country Day School, led the Yellow Jackets to their second consecutive Michigan Class C track and field championship. She won the 100, 200 and 400 meters and anchored the 800-meter relay.
GEORGE ACKER
KALAMAZOO, MICH.
Acker, 56, coached the men's tennis team at Kalamazoo College to the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association title for the 27th consecutive year. His career record in league play is 162-1 and his overall mark is 360-197.
