Myers, a freshman at Fur-man, set NCAA Division II swimming records in the 100-yard freestyle (50.62), 100-yard butterfly (55.82) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:05.42) at the national championships. She also won the 50 free in 23.22.

VANTAA, FINLAND
Tuomo, an 18-year-old exchange student at Can-by High and a former Finnish schoolboy wrestling champion, won the Minnesota high school Class A 155-pound title. He was 29-3-1 this year, competing in three different weight classes.

Starr, a senior forward, scored all four of her team's goals in pacing the Punahou High girls' soccer team to three straight tournament wins and four straight state titles. She scored the winning goal in three of the four championship games.

Kahn, a 29-year-old systems analyst, won the New Mexico rackets title for the second time in three years. He defeated 32 opponents in the daylong competition of tennis, badminton, squash, table tennis, racquetball and pickle-ball.

Sheila, a 5'6" senior guard at Peekskill High, amassed a career total of 2,476 points to become New York State's alltime girls' basketball scoring leader. She also led the 17-4 Red Devils this past season in rebounds, steals and assists.

LYNDON STATION, WIS.
Marcine, 14, a freshman at Wisconsin Dells High, won a state all-around cowgirl title for the fifth straight year. She had won the junior division championship for four straight years and now has added the senior division to her laurels.
