Sir:
I will never understand why Bo Jackson deserved the July 14 cover
and Martina Navratilova did not. Jackson has yet to prove his
ability on the diamond, while Navratilova has proved hers over and
over again on the court.

Last week Boris Becker, 18, won his second Wimbledon championship
in straight sets and Martina Navratilova won her fifth straight
Wimbledon. So who's on your cover? A minor league baseball player
who, as of today, has yet to show us what he can do. Get serious.
