EVERY BOGEY WAS A DOUBLE BOGEY

You can't always tell the players, even with a scorecard. These
several sets of identical siblings showed up at the Chanute (Kans.)
Country Club recently for the first-ever Double Trouble Golf
Tournament, a fund-raising event which netted $1,328 for the Twins
Foundation. The organization, which hopes to establish a Twins Hall
of Fame at foundation headquarters in Providence, R.I., is a
clearinghouse for research into multiple births.
Nine sets of twins participated in the Double Trouble; the matched
twosomes above are (from left) tournament directors and foundation
board members Cody McNair and Dodie Noland, Britt and Kristin
Pickell, Kristie and Michelle Stirewalt, Bernadine Bellinger and
Maxine Dyer, Pat and Dott Marr, Andy and Rodney Tinney and John and
Charles Derby. Since the theme of the day was to do things two by
two, McNair and Noland decided to run the Double Trouble as a
four-man scramble. Officials are reasonably certain each participant
made all his own shots.
