SAFE AT ANY SPEED
Indy 500 champ Bobby Rahal was being driven through downtown
Toronto by a friend when their car was pulled over by the police. An
officer had noticed that the driver wasn't wearing his seat belt,
which is a violation under Ontario law. The driver, hoping for
leniency, said, ''The guy in the front seat there won the
Indianapolis 500.''
''Don't care,'' said the stoic cop as he peered into the car.
''But you'll notice -- he has his seat belt fastened.''
