Clifford, 80, set an age-group record at the World Masters marathon championships in Richmond, B.C. He finished the race in 4:19:56, 3 minutes 11 seconds faster than the 1982 mark set by Paul Spangler of San Luis Obispo, Calif.

Tracy, 9, a member of the U.S. Gymnastics Federation, completed 1,000 sit-ups in 41 minutes. Her performance took place during a fund-raising gymathon, in which participants raised money by doing a predetermined number of exercises.

Enondrous, a senior inside linebacker at Engle-wood High, made 11 tackles and recovered 2 fumbles, returning the second 15 yards for a touchdown, in leading the Rams to a 12-0 upset of the state's fifth-ranked team, Palatka High.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.
Keith, a senior forward at Westover High, broke the state high school record for career soccer goals with 105 when he scored in a 4-3 victory over Seventy-First High. Two weeks later he kicked a 53-yard field goal in a win over Pinecrest.

BETH O'KELLY
MARSHFIELD, MASS.
O'Kelly, 18, a freshman at the University of Hartford, fired a 36-hole total of 155 to win the Eastern College Athletic Conference women's fall golf title, in Harrisonburg, Va. O'Kelly defeated senior Erin Borowicz of Penn State by one stroke.

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y.
Danny, who is a 17-year-old chess master, won the Arnold Denker National Tournament of High School Champions in Somerset, N.J., with a 5-1 score. He won the national high school title in 1985 and the junior high title in 1984.
