Jonathan, a sophomore outfielder for Mulberry Grove High, drove in 12 runs in the fall baseball opener to set a state record. His five hits in the 39-2 win over Brownstown High included two home runs (one a grand slam) and two triples.

Wible, a retired businesswoman, won her 45th straight club golf championship at the American Legion Country Club in Mount Union by beating Brenda Diven, 19, by one stroke, with an 83. Wible, 62, has played golf since she was 10.

Hairston, 31, won the Woolaroc Road Race in Bartlesville, Okla., for the fourth time in the event's six-year history. He completed the five miles in 25:02, running through a wildlife preserve inhabited by buffalo, llamas, elk and deer.

Carlos, a senior tailback at the Cincinnati Academy of Physical Education, rushed for four touchdowns in a 56-0 victory over Finneytown High to set a national high school record of 95 career touchdowns on the ground.

POINT PLEASANT, N.J.
Abbazia, 49, has coached the freshman soccer team from Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft through 108 consecutive games without a defeat in the last seven years. He also assists on the varsity, which has won four league titles in a row.

REHOBOTH, MASS.
Bliss, a freshman at Brown University, won her second consecutive American Horse Shows Association young rider national championship when she rode Hey Charlie to victory in the Radnor Hunt Three-Day Event, in Malvern, Pa.
